Breaking The Cycle
Every day people are released from prisons and jails, and each one has the same question to answer: "Should I return to the life I know - a life of crime, alcohol and/or drug dependency - or can I break the cycle that would lead back to prison?"
Through ARISE, our faith-based program, many individuals have learned that the seemingly perpetual cycle of returning to prison can be broken, and success achieved.
We have the answers; our program doesn't offer empty promises. We offer true hope of a new life, but we need your help.
Upon release, many participants need temporary housing, clothing, food, hygiene essentials... the basic necessities that we all require... With your tax-deductible donation we are able to fulfill these needs. We give to help, and they in turn repay so that others can benefit. Each participant learns that society doesn't owe him a second chance. Each dollar that is borrowed must be paid back. Not only does each participant learn to be a responsible member of society, they also learn the joy of giving to others in need.
Residential locations are 324 E. Mifflin Street, and 519 E. Johnson Street. The new house address is 422 North St. These 30 rooms afford us the ability to provide a clean and safe environment that is necessary for desirable life changes to occur. We provide on-site spiritual awareness and growth, Bible studies, case management, mentoring, emploment, job training and referral.
Our pending plans includes a larger transitional housing program that will include both men, women and their children, in this life changing, God-focused program.
