The Biblical Mandate

Isaiah 61:1, 3, 4
1The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 3and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. 4They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.

This is the work that God has called Christians to — to seek and save that which is lost, and to assist with their total restoration.

ARISE Family Services (AFS) is on the front lines, helping women, men, children, and families being destoyed by substance abuse. There are people exiting the penal system with nothing more than the clothes on their backs, the basic necessities of life lost. Community resources are strained.

Responding to the call. That is what Americans do best. AFS can not do this alone. We need you to partner with us. Nearly 100 people and their families have been successfully restored in the past 18 months. They are now working, tax paying, church going, loving parents. Because of your generous gifts.

Your generous tax-deductible donation of:

  • $1000 - will provide all needs for a month to a new person entering the program
  • $500 - will provide educational expenses for one year
  • $350 - will provide a single adult living quarter for one month
  • $250 - will provide a clothing allowance
  • $200 - will provide personal hygiene essentials and bus passes
  • $200 - will provide a one month's food allowance
  • $100 - will provide necessary school supplies
AFS accepts donations of real estate, automobiles, estates, and monetary gifts, one time and ongoing.
